Location

Vitória, Iriri and Beyond

Vitória

Mariana’s home town of Vitória is a short flight from Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. It’s a vibrant city located on a small island within a bay where several rivers meet the sea. We’d recommend a night or 2 here before moving onto Anchieta. There are 2 nice long beaches with plenty of options for food and drink.

Iriri

Iriri is roughly an hour and a half drive from Vitória. Nestled within the municipality of Anchieta, Iriri offers a tranquil escape with its four main beaches: Areia Preta, Costa Azul, Namorados, and Santa Helena. You can enjoy a range of activities such as stand-up paddleboarding, beachcombing, and savouring local seafood delicacies. The village’s serene atmosphere and natural beauty make it an ideal destination for relaxation and outdoor adventures. We’ll be staying in Hotel Espardarte for the 3 nights around the wedding, but there are also a fair few AirBnBs nearby that may be more suitable.
